Re:Topic 1 DQ 1
Looking at the research and resources home page by Grand Canyon University (n.d.), journal articles and books offered by GCU are the databases that I personally think will helo me find the best researcg artciles that will support my EBP proposal. As i have used GCU library on all of my other classes, I find it easy to navigate the site and get factual information based on evidence-based research. This way, I know that the data presented to me are factual and are supported by the university. I also enjoy reading journal articles by researchers and see how their studies resulted. This helps me think critically about other ways to improve the study, thus base my EBP concept on other's research. This does not mean that I am copying another's work. Reading published journals make it possible for others like me to coneptualize and better the research study and propose new hypothesis and gather more data on the subject. When it comes to published books and reading, I seldom see them but they are very much available. Research published in books are often lengthy but are truly helpful especially when proposing an EBP. Having facts is essential in formulating a plan and implementing it. I think that having the GCU library is very important and I truly wish I can have access for my lifetime. The best thing about it is its easy to navigate, its free for students like us, and there are millions of information available for review.
