Moms Demand Action announces a PSA campaign and used Irony and color as a rhetorical devices for tone to create a logos and pathos to make the audience think more logically and focus on what will be more harmful for our next generation.
· Irony
· The united states is banning “kinder joy” candy from kids due to the small part toys inside kinder surprise, rather than looking the the bigger picture and the real issue with all “firearms”.
· This Irony the author uses it plays both emotional and logical appeals. Logically it makes the viewer think that the United states is banning some irrelevant candy comparing it to firearms, and to make the audience look at the real issue from another point of view, emotionally, they used two kids to prove the creators appeals, it was shocking that America is banning kinder and not firearms even though numerous of cases kids are the victim.
· Color
· Color red was chosen in the text “Guess which one”, the kid’s shirt who’s holding the “kinder eggs” and red color used in the exclamation point and shaped like a target.
· The color red was used three times in this PSA, it plays an emotional appeal to persuade the audience that there's a meaning behind the color, and the creator chooses color red to attract the eye of the viewer, to emphasize the irony and foreshadowing the blood that firearm caused where kids were the victims
