Intro: Outline myth should change to: There is a narrative that there is a great invasion of America across the border by unlawful Latino Immigrants.

Then argument should be the reasoning of explaining why this myth is untrue because the invasion is wrong, becasue…….. the notion of border crossers is wrong …… the illegal perception is wrong …. Latino immigrants aren’t the majority ……

My professor said the #2 and #3 evidence you gave are very similar and redundant. So she made some changes and you can adjust and ADD some information by using the new outline structures below here:

1. Starts by explaining there are not an invasion, (Latino) are invited and recruiting by the US employers. And you could find some examples, historical evidences from those readings I provide you.

2. They (Latino) are not just border crossers, they might be visa overstayers or unauthorized workers. And they might be entering the US by official entrance such as airport and has legally passed the US Custom before. With evidences and examples or just give simply statement…

3. Illegal: 1965s. immigrants nationality acts, I will attach a slide which mainly talked about it. By the time of 1965s, the number of immigrants sharply declined and the number of illegal immigrants suddenly boosting, because of the immigrant nationality acts which has a restrict policy to restrain the number of immigrants entering the US. So that most people who want to enter the US to find (maybe jobs, shelters, political protections…) could only entering the US without lawful identification. The number of immigrants is shaped overtime and were shaped by the policy making. The number of illegal immigrants was somehow a respond to US’s policy. This evidences and argument’s topic should move from merely talking about the number of illegal immigrants to the whole bigger pictures by saying the processes, policy making and society reality. 4. Latino: when talking about the Latino part, you can give the evidence that not just Latino but also Asians are border crossers, unauthorized workers or unlawful immigrants. I remember you have an evidence which says that. Another aspect is that the reason of the myth ongoing part which argues that there are more and more illegal Latino immigrants is probably showing the images and statistics from 1995s, not today. Because the media framing is working for providing information and explanation. Medias made a wrong projection towards the Latino immigrants and immigrants overall in the US, because after 1995s the strict policy have already restricted the number of immigrants. You may want to add in a discussion of how hard (sometimes impossible) it is for people to immigrate through “legal” avenues, or to “legalize” their status once here “illegally” ie. 3 yr, 10 yr, and permanent bans on legal immigration. 5. Conclusion, why do we have this narrative? How does it perpetuated or spread? Why censure? ---- Because it might be the media shapes people’s mind? In spite of all these facts given above, people still don’t believe, because it might be media plays key role. This conclusion is an explanation of why this narrative become. And can get involved in discussing if it is the matter of fact that racism, deservingness of rights, immigrants are probably exclusive to get access into certain rights…” With evidences and examples or just give simply statement…

 YOU CAN USE MANY CITATIONS to prove your body paragraphs, as long as you paraphrasing it and cite them either in the end of sentences or in the reference part. You can use the (author name, year, page number) for the end sentences references. But use APA 6th style citation in the end paper reference part. It is GOOD TO USE 4-5 RESOUCES in every body paraphrase.
