2. Professional responsibilities of HR professionals
· Hiring employees that help advance the objectives and goals of an organization.
· Act as an advocate for other employees.
· Ensure a safe working environment and conditions.
3. Fairness and Justice in the HR profession
· All applicants have equal chances.
· All the employees are given respect without bias.
· Growth opportunities are availed to all employees.
4. Managing organizational information
· Communication should be comprehensive.
· Formal procedures and policies should be in place to deal with external media.
· Confidential information should not be shared with third parties.

5. Professional Image
· Personal matters and business matters should not be mixed in the workplace.
· Limit posting during working hours.
· Negative comments should be avoided as they tarnish the image of a person.
6. Refraining from workplace commentary on social media.
· Employees should not share any information on their duties and responsibilities.
· Information considered confidential by the organization should not be shared.
· The organization should monitor social media use in the workplace.
7. Harassment
· The organization should have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment.
· Every individual who violates the policy should be held responsible and punished accordingly.
· The organization should accommodate diversity in the workplace.
8. Customer privacy and IT security
· All the systems and IT devices should only be accessed by authorized personnel.
· Customer personal data should be protected and cannot be shared with a third party.

Human resource management is vital to an organization, and a code of ethics is needed to help establish the norms and acceptable behavior in an organization.
