Introduction

The first food industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the United States. The industry currently is worth about 199 billion US dollars, which is prospected to increase to about 230 billion US dollars. Just as the name suggests, fast foods have a strong priority for speed of service and are produced in large numbers for commercial resale. The food is served from a first food restaurant or a quick service store. The composition of these first foods is mostly meat and sweet, and the customer can sit at the minimal tables offered at the quick service store or carry their food with them (Dudbridge, 2016).

The industry boosts to some large names that include McDonald's, Taco Bell, KFC, Burger King, Pizza Hut, and Starbucks among others. The nature of the industry is a fast-moving flow, therefore, requires many employees. According to the Statistics Portal, the fast food industry has about 3.8 million employees but also receives one of the highest turnover rates in the country. Research shows that turnover rates are about wages and remunerations. The industry witnesses one of the most notorious pay disparities between the employees and the top managers (Topic: Fast food industry, 2018).
