I. Introduction.

A. Physical activity and nutrition among adults in Mississippi Gulf Coast are significant concerns because of the associated health consequences.

B. Evaluating the issue of concern by focusing on the five social-ecological models provides an opportunity to understand the severity of the problem and the interventions that can be taken to promote the desired health outcomes (Pollock et al., 2020).

C. . The application of health education and health promotion is an effective tool for evaluating the source of the health care issue and the interventions and strategies that can be utilized to realize positive results.

II. Individual psychological factors relating to physical activity and nutrition among adults living in Mississippi Gulf Coast.

A. Exposure to childhood obesity without proper health interventions to address the health consequences of lack of physical activity and poor nutrition.

B. The knowledge and attitude of individuals towards nutrition and physical activity are limiting within the affected population.

C. Poor eating habits due to a high level of poverty.

D. Bodyweight genes

E. Too much of watching TV or online on computers and smartphones, among other internet-enabled devices.

III. Interpersonal Factors-How to utilize these factors to promote the desired outcomes.

A. There is a need to ensure that the affected population and their loved ones are directly involved in the health promotion program.

a. It helps to promote the active participation of the affected individuals in the health promotion program and education.

B. Engaging various healthcare and education industry stakeholders to provide the necessary education to individuals considered to be at risk of developing obesity and overweight (Granlund, 2021).

a. They are utilizing their skills, authority, and specialty to improve the program's effectiveness and learning activities.

C. Family, friends, and healthcare professionals play a crucial role in communicating and motivating the affected individuals to engage in physical activities and proper nutrition.

a. Friends and family can help through encouragement by exercising together.

b. Healthcare professionals can help by providing professional health advice on the particular physical activities to engage in, the frequency, and the suitable diet for overcoming and preventing the health consequences associated with the condition (Lasry et al., 2020).

IV. Organizational

A. Integrating health promotional activities relating to physical activities and nutrition in the healthcare program and activities

B. Mobilizing governmental and non-governmental organizations to back the associated health promotion and education activities relating to the health issue of concern.

V. Community

A. Utilizing community programs and initiatives to increase access to the targeted population for the associated health promotion activities.

B. Organizing community events and activities to provide an opportunity to attract many individuals within the target population for educational purposes on the health issue of concern (Roland Katherine et al., 201).

VI. Policy/Societal

A. Healthy People 2020 goals on nutrition, physical activity, and obesity

B. The National Early Care and Education Learning Collaborative (ECELC) project

a. Focused on promoting best practices in nutrition (Smith et al., 2017).

VII. Summary

A. Physical activity and nutrition play a crucial role in impacting the affected individuals' health and overall well-being.

B. The Mississippi Gulf Coast case brings out the challenge of obesity and being overweight, conditions greatly influenced by lack of physical activity and poor nutrition.

C. Utilizing the five-level of social ecology provides an opportunity to focus on effective and sustainable health promotion strategies and education to overcome the associated health consequences.
