These solutions and services support the explo- sion of data across all economic sectors. and software solutions, embedded wafers and products), and Client Solutions (high-performance and high-capacity enterprise HDDs and SSDs), are the primary focus

areas for VDC's product and service offerings (i.e., removable products, flash-content solutions, hard-drive content solutions). The purpose of this case study is to help the reader better understand the concepts presented in Chapter 6 of the Textbook for this Course. Both server virtualization and cloud computing are relevant

to these thoughts. This paper is a thought experiment meant to illustrate the potential value of virtualized technology at Veston Digital Corporation. The potential ap- plications of these technologies are the primary emphasis of the paper. Organizational environment

The term "organizational environment" refers to the set of institutions and external variables that surround a company and affect its resources, operations, and per- formance. Depending on its severity, it may affect some or all of the company's operations outside the office (Buchanan, 2019). VDC's data center services may pro- vide clients with attractive economic efficiency and performance because of the company's unique business model. These products are designed to aid clients in a data center's more specialized contexts by facilitating the mobilization, protection, extraction, and transformation of data's immense value. A country's aggre-

gate investment and demand are affected by macroeconomic factors such as the savings rate, inflation rate, currency rate, interest rate, and economic cycle. The in- terest rate, exchange rates, and foreign exchange rates are all macro-environment components (Bursell, 2019). Even if the firm's competitive advantage is impacted by the norms inherent to its surroundings, the business is competitive in the market. VDC considers macroeconomic factors, such as inflation and growth rate, and microeconomic data, such as the company's own consumer spending, when forecasting the company's future development trajectory. VMware's Double-Take software and solutions power the virtual machines Veston Digital Corp utilizes. It operates VMware's GSX Server on a dedicated server in its data center, onto which all its other servers duplicate. Any employee in the firm has access to this server. In the case of a failure on any one GSX server machine,

the remaining computers will act as both a high-availability (HA) and a local server (Keller, 2019). If a company's primary server goes down, such as its database or email server, the secondary, on-premises HA server will take over. Further, Double-Take software is used to make a copy of all of the virtual servers stored on the local HA system and move it to the company's Overland Park location. It sets up no less than four servers in each VMware GSX Server container. The virtualized servers housed in VDC's primary data centers are responsible for handling the failures of individual servers. When an issue arises at an Overland Park location, it is up to that location to fix it. SQL Server 2012 licensing for a virtualized environment

The Microsoft SQL Server is increasingly being distributed via virtualized environments, allowing several instances of the server to operate in parallel across multiple virtual machines or OSEs and on server farms. These kinds of settings are growing widespread. The enhanced virtual options, benefits, and rights given by SQL

Server 2012, which are included in this version, will give VDC far more leeway when deploying applications in virtualized environments (Jain et al., 2015). SQL Server 2012 may be licensed for maximum virtualization in highly virtualized, dynamic, and private cloud settings, or Veston Digital Corp. can license individual CMs as

needed. The corporation can choose any route for licensing. Core licenses of Enterprise Edition might be utilized to cover licensing for an entire physical server,

and Software Assurance could cover the cost. The maximum degree of virtualization would be achieved. Recommendation for Shared Storage configuration

Organizations need many shared storage formats and at least two physical hosts to design and achieve high availability in shared storage (Bursell, 2019). In its broad- est sense, shared storage is a group of devices or a single device that may act as shared storage for several servers at once by employing methods that mimic internal storage.

Fiber-channel and iSCSI are two common examples of such technologies. High availability, or HA, is based on a seemingly simple premise: removing any possible sources of failure (Keller, 2019). This guarantees that servers may still fulfill data requests if the path or node leading to the primary storage is unexpectedly or

purposefully shut down. Implementing HA clusters aims to eliminate potential failure spots by incorporating redundancy into the cluster. This involves many copies of data stored in separate locations and abundant network connections serving the same geographical areas.

Windows Azure Capabilities for VMs

In 2010, Microsoft launched Windows Azure, their cloud-based software solution. The term "cloud computing platform" describes Windows Azure (Bansal, 2013).

It's a flexible and open cloud platform that can be used for everything from data storage and development to application management and service hosting. VDC

may maintain infrastructure control and achieve its goals by building a private cloud with Windows Azure, which can communicate with the public cloud (Jain et al., 2015). If a private cloud's computing resources are being heavily utilized, however, joining the private cloud of VDC with the Azure-IaaS-Public-cloud is the best Course of action. Recommendation for cloud computer use in the organization

Cloud computing manages data and software without requiring dedicated hardware or local servers (Keller, 2019). Said it's the process of making internal services (not cloud services) accessible from the outside world. To get the most out of their cloud computing experience, users of data controllers should first consider what kinds of information, processes, or tasks may be safely offloaded into the cloud. This needs to be taken care of before any cloud computing can be utilized. To estab- lish acceptable security measures that a service provider may require or implement internally to VDC, businesses must conduct a thorough risk assessment, which VDC should do (Keller, 2019). The EBIOS3 approach is applicable for risk analysis because private information is treated as an asset that must be protected and be- cause variables that affect data subjects' privacy are examined. The study concludes with a proposal for introducing cloud computing into the VDC.

Conclusion

Virtualization refers to the process wherein a software image is run on top of a layer separated from the physical hardware. This article describes how a made-up company, Veston Digital Corp., uses virtualized technology. To achieve this, the author first provides a high-level overview of the firm and the organizational setting in which it functions. Second, it details the SQL Server 2012 licensing necessities for virtualized environments. Finally, the article highlights and analyzes the recom-

mendation for the use of cloud computers in VDC and concludes with a suggestion for the deployment along with the capabilities of Windows Azure.
