Fall 2021 - Project Management Processes (BADM-623-A02) Date:09/19/2021
Activity I: Give an example of an organization with an ineffective or cumbersome structure. Explain the problems with the current structure and how these prob-
lems could be solved. For this question, I will take an example of XYZ, which has a flat structure which causes customer problems to be ineffective and cumber-
some. Customer support should always be coherent and seamless; however, due to a flat organizational structure, it leads to confusion and different answers when- ever a customer reaches the company (Kerzner, 2018). Customer A, for example, called Organization XYZ 5 times to solve a problem. However, each time the re-
sponse to the customer differs, leading to confusion and frustration and the loss of the customer. The following are some of the other problems caused by this struc- ture: 1. Problem of customer service: As discussed in the example above, the lack of good customer service leads to a loss of credibility and confidence in the
long term. This can happen due to the lack of monitoring by the reputable authority for customer interactions. 2. Quality control issues: Due to this structure, the
quality control of the service will be lower than average, leading to the breach of organizational functions. 3. Low Ethics: The morality of the workers is going to be poor. They will always be afraid of discipline and ignore the superiors. It will lead to increased confusion on the duties assigned by managers among employees.
In turn, this results in loss of deliverables and employee trust. By the following approaches, the ineffectiveness of this organizational structure can be resolved:
Centralization, decentralization, efforts to enhance teamwork, effective departmental communication, foster innovation, promoting intelligent work ,focus on produc- tivity through role definition and workload distribution. Activity II: Prepare a risk management plan for the project of finding a job after graduation. Here are my
risk management strategy measures to obtain a postgraduate employment. I personally implemented this with a 100 percent success rate. Employment objec-
tives: For that year and two years after that, I labored to identify the job market. During this time, I planned to stay focused and dedicated by keeping abreast of
the current market trends, recruiting and firing as well as reading newspaper companies and articles on the latest technologies. I was also drafting an action plan for

me to implement (Kloppenborg, 2018). Job preparation - Knowledge and experience gain: I have developed my skills and have taken various tests, courses, exams on- line. I have gained several technical and soft skills necessary for my career. I polished my past experience and tried to get experience in the field by participating in projects and internships. Improve skills, i.e. create resume: I focused on plunging into my niche, receiving certificates and preparing for other soft skills that are
relevant for the positions I wanted. I have taken several online tutorials and courses, as well as worked on minor projects and research with professors and fel-
low graduates. Search for references: references play an important role in job search. My talents like reliability, reliability, teamwork, and short-term work have
all been underlined when I was looking for references in my dream companies. During this time, I also reached as many connections as possible. Cash
Management: This is a vital to managing risk during job search strategy. We should have properly planned funding, and I established an annual budget to live on mini- mum living and household expenditure and eliminate superfluous expenditures. I've also taken frugal life until I have a job. There was also considerable savings to survive throughout the workfinding process (Kloppenborg, 2018). Positive prospects: My key priority at this era was to remain inherently motivated and focused.
Working hard, remaining productive all through the process helped me. Information collection and sharing I prepared the interview and information collection along the procedure. I have also worked with friends and shared knowledge that I have acquired over the process.
