of interest) This article is relevant because it shifts away from focusing on evidence based materials and instead discusses how to analyze the reviews on such materi als. The article relates to best practices in caring for psychiatric patients in the way it handles the examination of reviews on related source materials.
This article is relevant as it recognizes statistical language as part of quantitative methodology and it focuses on the handling of source materials that discuss evi- dence-based practice in nursing.
This article is relevant as it delves into the examination of source materials that apply quantitative methodology-something that may be overlooked by other authors because it seems simple. This article relates to best practice in nursing as it deals with sources on evidence-based practice.
This article is relevant as it discusses how to examine source materials that use a mixed-methods approach. The article is important as it analyzes sources that demonstrate the implementation and sustenance of evidence-based practice in nursing.
Brief description of the aims of the research of each peer-reviewed article The aim of research for this article was to look into the familiar examples of reviews
about health care. The study’s objective was to come up with a reliable insight of review through illustration using those found in domains for health and health infor- mation.
This research aimed to offer a relevant introduction to familiar statistical language and the perception of statistics in articles of research. The research aimed to offer the reader information on the relevance of looking into the appropriateness of tests carried out and carefully interpreting data.
The aim of this research by Hoe and Zoare (2012) is to allow nurses to have the capacity to appraise and examine quantitative research articles efficiently by offering knowledge on common quantitative research methods used in different source materials. This research aims to reveal to nurses how to find, read, and examine evi- dence regardless of whether it is as private publication, systemic review, outcomes management reports, meta-analysis, or as a best practice guideline. It aims at showing how to make use of several databases and websites on health.
Brief description of the research methodology used Be sure to identify if the methodology used was qualitative, quantitative, or a mixed-methods approach. Be
specific. The research methodology used in the article by Grant and Booth (2009) was a scoping search followed by an analysis of the keywords related to the review and synthesis of the literature. The authors relied on their combined experience in the theory and practice of reviews to examine the language used in the
source materials in question that included published documents and unpublished literature. The research methodology used a simple analytical framework to ana- lyze the main review types.
The frequent review types and their related major characteristics were highlighted and placed against a Search, Appraisal, and Synthesis and Analysis (SALSA)
framework. This examination revealed the characteristics of each of the review types together with their strength and weaknesses. Furthermore, examples of the re- spective reviews were highlighted mainly because of their efficiency in demonstrating review characteristics. In this case, the methodology used in the study was a mixed methods approach since it applied the use of both quantitative and qualitative data relating to the methodologies used in the reviews selected.
The research methodology used in this research article included the identification of relevant statistical terms related to the presentation of statistical data in research that applies quantitative methodology. In this case, the methodology used was qualitative research since the data collected and analyzed was non-numerical. Al- though the data used related to curves, graphs, and flowcharts, the use of these was relevant to understanding the concepts related to statistics.
The research methodology used is the identification of key questions for the critical appraisal of research evidence related to quantitative research methodology.

The research uses information from other peer-reviewed articles that rely on quantitative research to come up with their findings. In this case, the methodology used by the authors is a qualitative methodology where the data used is non-numerical. The research methodology for this research is the use of posters, presentations, and publications as the basis of study for analyzing source materials. The methodology used in this research is a mixed-methods approach since it applies the use of both numerical and non-numerical data.
A brief description of the strengths of each of the research methodologies used, including reliability and validity of how the methodology was applied in each of
the peer-reviewed articles you selected. The use of the SALSA framework to examine the selected review types by the authors promoted the reliability and validity of the study since this framework is relevant for the systematic analysis of data acquired through a mixed-methods approach. The use of this framework resulted in the attainment of useful outcomes in and for the research.
The research methodology was relevant since it highlighted several terms and scientific processes related to statistics. The research methodology offered examples to explain some of the terms presented in the article to promote comprehension of the terms. The use of examples further served to promote the validity and reliability of the information presented by the authors by allowing the reader to see how true they were in the way they were used and/or applied by other researchers.
The strength of the research methodology applied by Hoe and Zoare (2012) is that it addresses most of the key terms and the language used in quantitative method- ology. As a result, it answers the related questions efficiently and in a manner that nurses can understand and apply as they evaluate source materials.
The strength of the research methodology is that it embraces the use of both qualitative and quantitative data and this is a form of recognition that evidence-based practiced may be in the form of both numeric and non-numeric data. Additionally, the research methodology embraces evidence as the basis of best practice in the nursing profession.
