Annotated Bibliography / Journal Article Summary Regarding Mental Health in the primary care setting
· Review available journals for implementation strategies for this project.
· Must have professional journal and research articles – may not be older than 5 years
Each student must submit TWO summaries as an individual assignment.
Format: Correct APA reference citation, using APA 6th edition format at top of page. Summary follows and should be no more than two (2) pages in length (not including Title Page). If unsure how to format, check out the OWL site at https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/664/1
· Attach a copy of the article to the document for full credit
Annotated Bibliography / Journal Article Summary must include:
· Introduction - Give a brief introduction (1-3 sentences) of what this study was about.
· What was the author’s purpose and why did the author conduct the study?
· Procedures - In your own words:
· Describe the specifics of what this study involved.
· Who were the subjects?
· How were they grouped?
· What did they have the subjects do?
· Under what conditions?
· How long did the study last?
· What was measured?
· Findings – In your own words:
· Discuss the major findings and results.
· How useful or significant is this article to your project?
· Conclusions –
· What was the major outcome(s) of the study?
· What level of prevention is identified in the article? If none is specifically addressed, what level it should be.
· Personal comments – Give your personal reaction to the study? Such as:
· What did you learn from the study?
Students will use the following format for each of their annotative bibs. This is the format that will be used.
