I have chosen Anderson Institute Orthopaedics & Sport Medicine for my choice of health care organization. I chose this organization because people fly from all over the country to come to this institution. This institution helps patient from world-class athletes, weekend warriors, youth athletes and everyday people. These patients from all over and levels of society all have equal access to state-of-the-art health care services. This institute includes specialties available on-site include: orthopaedics, physical medicine and rehabilitation pain management, neurosurgery non-surgical sport management, radiology, physical therapy and occupational therapy, total joint center, vascular interventions, hand and wrist center, and orthopaedic trauma that was founded in Gulf Breeze, Florida location under the leadership and reputation of international renowned orthopaedic sport surgeon Dr. James Andrews (Anderson Institute Orthopaedics & Sport Medicine, 1996-2022). The Anderson Institute Orthopaedics & Sport Medicine has opened over 14 location including rehabilitation between 2004-2020. The institute has 30 plus affiliated physicians to provide an all-inclusive continuum of care. Institute services are Andrews Institute Ambulatory Surgery Center, Diagnostic Imaging and MRI, Andrews Institute Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine Outreach (Athletic Training Services), EXOS (Sport Performance), and Andrews Research & Education Foundation (Anderson Institute Orthopaedics & Sport Medicine, 1996-2022). I personally have an experience with this institution as I am under one of the Neurosurgery Non-Surgical Sport Medicine physicians at this time and attending one of the rehabilitation facilities.

Andrews Sport Medicine & Orthopaedic Center follows the same guidelines that the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) as put in place as a federal law required of national standards of protecting both online and in person health information. This HIPAA law has also provided the regulations that are followed that the Andrews Institutes will not share or sale private health information without the patients consent and knowledge (Andrews Sport Medicine & Orthopaedic Center, 2022). The Andrews Institute has joined teams with Baptist Health Care, and they pride themselves in not discriminating patients for any reason. Effects on Risk Management

Quality Care – Andrews Institute is focused on quality care no matter who you are or how you can pay. The standards that Andrews Institute compile on is education and research. Andrews Institute works hard at providing public service programs, techniques, technology, and methodologies that can change and improve lives. Andrews Institute stated “Our primary focus is prevention of injuries in youth sports, our community and our active-duty military and veterans. Established to develop sports and musculoskeletal medicine programs to prevent, and treat injury, AREF is committed to improving the quality of life of people of all ages while increasing human performance and wellness through our research and education initiatives.”

Andrews Institute Orthopaedics & Sport Medicine is able to keep staff training and up to date with HIPAA guidelines in patient confidentiality. The safety of the patient is the number one goal of the Andrews Institute Orthopaedics & Sport Medicine. Having the proper software in place to protect electronic files. Continuing the research and education for all physicians through out the 14 different facilities in Florida. Andrews Institute is dedicated to developing “musculoskeletal medicine programs to prevent and treat injury in patient of all ages (Anderson Institute Orthopaedics & Sport Medicine, 1996-2022).” The Andrews Institute Orthopaedics & Sport Medicine is able to provide this service through the continuance of the research and education.
