The remaining appeal of President Triumph’s executive orders that intended to limit travel to the United States was nullified on Tuesday by the Supreme Court (Epps, 2017). However, the dismissal amounted to judicial housekeeping which cleared the challenges on the March order which was replaced in September with tide restrictions as the justice awaits appeals from the order issued in September. The Court, however, considered the March order expired hence making the case moot. As a result, the Supreme Court removed the decision under the appeal in addition to the Court’s decision (Epps, 2017). Thereupon, Justice Sonia Sotomayor said she would have dismissed the case and allowed the appeals court decision to prevail.
President Trump is blamed by Ninth Circuit to have exceeded his authority in limiting travel from the six Muslim Countries and the nation’s refugee program. However, Judge Derrick of the federal Court seconded the decision of Ninth Circuit. Accordingly, the September order was found by Judge Watson to discriminate the immigration law together with the founding principles of United States (Epps, 2017). The court, however, agreed to hear the appeals of both Ninth Circuit and Fourth Circuit in Richmond where the Fourth Circuit had also ruled against the administration.
Fourth Circuit and Ninth Circuit both continued arguing in court during summer over the aspects of the March order (Epps, 2017). However, the Supreme Court stated in June everybody should enter the United States provided he/she has an entity in the United States. Conversely, justices to cancel the oral arguments that were scheduled on October tenth was prompted considering the issuance of the administration over the September order (Epps, 2017). The Supreme Court, therefore, did not take immediate action about the Ninth’s decision since it was addressing the issue of travel to six nations together with the refugee program.
