Write a Research Proposal about why risk factors of cardiovascular diseases are more prevalent in Hispanics in the Florida. Hypothesis: If I conduct this research then I will find that several major cardiovascular disease risk factors, such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, and smoking, are highly prevalent in Hispanics because of the lack of awareness and perception of such risks. Please follow the following Flow Chart instructions: Research Proposal Flow Chart 1.Title of Study:Explains topic concisely. Tends to be attention grabbing to get people to read it. 2.Introduction: Introduces reader to topic in question. Usually begins with brief historical overview of the topic. Outlines general fields of interest and shows how your topic fits within them. Indicates why you are interested in the study. 3. Significance: Purpose of the research. Clearly State it. Hypotheses should also be clearly stated here. What research questions will be addressed? What do you think your results will be? Why is your research important and what contributions will it make to the public knowledge. What implications will your research contribute to the general body of knowledge? 4. Literature Review: Discusses relationship of proposal research to other local and national researches on the field. What major research studies have previously been done on your topic? How will your research fill the current knowledge gap? Outlines instruments you will use in your study and justifies use of the instruments. Why is your research necessary? List the delimitations of your study. 5.Methodology: Discusses in detail how data will be collected and how research will be conducted. What method(s) will you use? What instruments will you use to gather data? How will you present your results? What statistical tests will you use? 6. Expected Results: What do you think will happen based on your intuition? What are the possible outcomes of your work? Use other studies to back up your inference. 7. Ethical Statements: Briefly discusses how your study will protect confidentiality, anonymity, and the physical well-being of participants. State if animals are involved. 8. Time Frame: Provides a timeline of research. Lists times and dates of each step of your research proposal. Should be as specific as possible but the timeline should serve as a general guide only. 9. Budget of Study: Budget cost of study should be included. Does not need to be too detailed. Indicate source of funds as well as costs. 10. References: What texts and references are used? Cite them correctly. |
