I. Proposed Dissertation Title:

The negative impacts of globalization in business.

II. Research Question or Hypothesis:

The research question that will be used in this research is; has globalization impacted business in the modern world of business? The main objective of the research is to answer the research question. At the same time, the research will be trying to prove whether or not the hypothesis has been motivated by fact or mere assumptions. The hypothesis that is held in this case is that globalization has affected the global business in different ways. Globalization has increased business activities and the operations of some organizations on a global scale are proof that globalization has affected business significantly.

III. Review of Literature/Background:

Research shows that globalization is affecting business in a big way. Globalization has enhanced relationships between nations. At the same time, globalization has promoted relationships between businesses. The relationships have affected business processes (Figge, Oebels, & Offermans, 2017). A good example of the effects of globalization on business can be seen in the case of Apple Inc. Apple Inc. is an organization that has its headquarters in California, United States. Due to globalization, Apple Inc. has moved some of its manufacturing plants to China. The reason for doing so is that the costs of production in China are lower. It is important to also remember that the relationship between China and Apple Inc. has been fostered by globalization. More than ever before, Apple Inc. is selling its products to the African market. Such has been made possible because of globalization.

Globalization is the reason behind the increased movements of people from one nation to another (Rizescu & Tileagă, 2017). In the modern-day, it is easier for a person to take a vacation in a different nation and get back home before the time to resume work comes. When people move from one nation to another, they affect different businesses. The first business that is affected is the transport business. Organizations that have invested in the transport industry get to benefit by a significant percentage. The second business that is affected is the business that plays host to the visitor. In this case, the hospitality industry is affected. It is therefore with no doubt that globalization has affected businesses that are in the transport and hospitality industries by a significant percentage.

Globalization has established relationships between nations and that has affected businesses in the nations that are involved (Cartwright, 2017). China and the United States are two nations that have benefited from globalization in a bigger way. China has become the largest exporter and that has been caused by some of the agreements that China has made with some nations in the world. When a nation strikes a deal with another, the business between the two nations thrives and benefit from each other. However, it is important to note that if it were not for globalization, the involved nations would not have made a deal. Therefore, it is appropriate to give globalization credit for the relationships that are established between and among nations.

Globalization has also affected businesses from the perspective of ideas generation and innovations. When people from different parts of the world come together, they generate ideas that help to advance businesses (Kozubikova, Homolka, & Kristalas, 2017). A good example in this case is seen in technology. The world of business is thriving on technologies that have been developed by people from different nations. The United States has played an essential role in providing the world with technology giants such as Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. China has produced an entrepreneur in the business of online retailing and wholesaling by the name of Jack Ma. The mentioned individuals come from different parts of the world but their innovations help the entire world. This means that globalization has helped to bring business minds together.

IV. Research Methodology:

The research method that will be used for this research is a qualitative research approach. The best design is quasi-experimental and the best method of collecting participants is random sampling. The tool that will be used to collect data is an interview.
