This source is a very informative journal article on lean production. The article focuses on the topic of lean production by tracing the development of this form of production in the automobile industry and the value this has added to the industry by giving examples of key players in the industry such as Toyota. According to this article, lean production changed the manner in which production is done in the industry and revolutionized manufacturing and service operations.

This is yet another journal article that explores the various key players in the automobile industry. The article explores the question “What factors facilitate and constrain the sustained development and replication of organizational capabilities of suppliers? (Sako, 2004).”It does this by providing a great deal of information about and analyzing the case of the three key players that is Honda, Nissan, and Toyota.

The source offers in-depth information about The Nissan Motor company right from its history and growth over the years. Most importantly, the source the article analyses this firm in the context of the highly dynamic world we are living in and how well it is operating by exploring various case studies related to the company.
