Network Architecture Components
Network architecture is known as the physical structure or physical design of computer networks.
The main element of the design of the digital infrastructure which has implications to security., resilience, implication for performance and the cost of operations which include facilities for example data centers and also office connectivity.
The most common components of network architecture include the following: Logical architecture which is the main structure of a network which is abstracted far from the details of equipment or devices, Network security which is the design of networks to help prevent unapproved access , use or disruption.
Other examples of network architecture components include network type, network performance and etc.

Traditional Network Design
A traditional Network Design operates effectively for static and slowly developing networks even if this is so much expensive and the fact that much time is consumed.
Traditional network Design is a structured systems analysis and design process which has got two phases such as the implementation phase which occurs in a year or in two years later, builds and implements the network too.
The other phase is the network analysis phase which estimates data traffic on every section of the network, meets with users to identify the needs and applications and etc.
Traditional Network Design
Building-block network design
Building-block network design involves the following three phases;
1. Needs analysis- This is the first step which involves the process of evaluating the needs of network users along with the requirements of the network applications. This include the following; geographic scope whereby needs analysis starts through breaking the network into three sections based on their geographic and logical scope and etc.
2. Technology design-After needs evaluation is completed, the next design thing is to build or develop a technology design for the network which is also the set of possible designs. This include designing circuits and devices, designing clients and servers and etc.
3. Cost assessment-The goal of cost assessment is to evaluate the costs of several network alternatives produced as part of technology infrastructure. Costs to bear in mind include operations costs to drive or run the network and etc.
OPNET Modeler
OPNET Network simulator is a device used to simulate the behaviour and also the performance of whichever type of network.
Something to note with OPNET simulation is that it maintains one global event list, Each device access a shared simulation clock time, occasions are scheduled on the list in time order, and note that an occasion has data related with it and finally that the moment an occasion ends , it is then deleted or removed from the list.
OPNET modeler has got three components namely: models, software, and documentation.
NS2 Official website
This is a widely used device in simulating the behaviour of the wired and also the wireless networks. It is an open source occasion driven simulator created specifically for use in conducting research in software communication networks.
Something worth to note about NS2 Official website is that, it is a discrete occasion scheduler and also majorly Unix based.
