Summary and critique essay

Course and section:
The Minute Paper
The Minute Paper is a commonly used classroom assessment technique. It really does take
about a minute and, while it is usually used at the end of class, it can be used at the end of any
topic, discussion, or increment. Its major advantage is that it provides rapid feedback on
whether I, as your professor, am communicating an idea that is the same as what you
perceived. This paper is not a graded assignment; it is for assessment purposes only.
Please complete your responses and attach or cut and paste in this week’s folder.
In concise, well-planned sentences, please answer the questions below:
1. What are the two most significant [central, useful, meaningful, surprising, disturbing] things
you have learned during the first eight weeks of this course?
2. What question(s) remain uppermost in your mind?
3. Is there anything you have not understood?
