o Final Capstone Proposal. Submit a final version of the (15-page minimum) capstone proposal. The proposal must include (1) a statement of the topic, (2) the purpose of the research being conducted (i.e., what unknown information/answer are you searching for as part of the research), and (3) the motivation for the research (i.e., the “so what?” question). In addition, the proposal must present a (4) high-level research methodology describing the types of research materials that will be accessed or investigated to answer the research question (e.g., literature review, interviews with SMEs, statistical data), 5) comply with all guidelines presented in the section “Guidelines for the Capstone Proposal and Report: 2017-2018” in the attached Capstone Protocol (see Page 14), 6) reflect graduate-level academic writing as reflected in style guides (e.g., Strunk and White), and 7) comply to APA format.

Please submit your papers in either Microsoft Word format. Papers submitted in other formats will be returned for resubmission with a corresponding deduction in grade. All papers will be subjected to a review using anti-plagiarism software. Plagiarized papers will receive a score of “0.”

 Final Capstone Proposal Review. Conduct a 15-minute presentation summarizing the highlights of your research proposal in a one-on-one meeting with the capstone instructor. The presentation must (1) clearly articulate your research question, (2) provide background to current research/thought in the selected topic, (3) describe the planned methodology being used to respond to the research question, (4) describe key research resources utilized, and (5) present any data collection instruments being utilized to conduct the research. As the focus of the assignment is on the presenter’s ability to articulate their capstone question, design, and methodology, please limit PowerPoint presentations to a maximum of 10 slides and do not utilize videos. The 15-minute briefing will be followed by a 30-minute review and discussion of your proposal. Each candidate will participate in an individual review session either in Session Four or Session Five of the course. Candidates will attend the online “Peer Review” course on the week in which they are not participating in one of the “Final Capstone Review” sessions.
