Health Promotion Plan

In the last ten years, the cases of teenage pregnancies have been weakened at a substantial rate. The main goal of this paper is to find a method in which the health facility can control teen pregnancies in numerous countries. There is a desire to create equal chances for both males and females to explore their potential and to remain the best people in upcoming years. The end of the plan shows a desire to examine a community independent of early school dropouts, stress, and depression and are concerned with initial pregnancies. The main intention is to decrease the cases of street children that agree with recent research that shows that it is brought by teen girls who give birth and abandon their children.

Target Group

The main target is girls aged from 13 to 19 years old, particularly those living in slums. The plan shows an intention to reach about one million slum girls, and more attention was given to them due to the rate at which they are uncovered to the risk of being included in early sexual abuse or sexual activities, that can result in undesired teen pregnancies (Mueller et al., 2017). The plan would take an average of about two years, subsequently which would examine the findings.

Importance of Health Concern with Specific Population

Teen pregnancies have altered the lives of various young teens who have been a victim to a great extent. From the time of being pregnant and till the birth of a child, these teen girls face various mental and physical challenges, and these issues, once summed up, have various health effects on involved people. Abolition of teen pregnancies is very significant, particularly in confirming that choices are equal in society. Effects of teen pregnancies can be very negative, relying on the support that she will get from the people around her. This health program is very important because it includes various advantages such as:

Reduction of Exposure to Unfit Abortion Practices

To escape the wrath of their parents, particularly those teenagers who have strict parents, these teens, after knowing about the pregnancy, try to find some non-medical method to dismiss pregnancy deprived of revealing the pregnancy (Young et al., 2018). There are some conditions in which these actions can hinder these teenagers' wombs. Various cases result in the death of teenagers; therefore, as a service, this program is beneficial for teenagers.

Reduction in Street Children Incidents

Various teen pregnancies are pressurized and unplanned. Therefore, after the birth of a baby, teens disregard their children, resulting in a higher rate of street children.

Prosperity in Community

Many teenagers are sufferers of early pregnancy that are inclined to have their education hardened, therefore, mislaid crucial options they might have missed out on. Besides, it has also given inequality between persons in the community, such as social classes. Various classes in the community are inclined to influence teenagers negatively; therefore, feelings of unworthiness and depression increase among positive peers.

Assumptions and/or points of uncertainty related to teen pregnancy

The assumptions related to teen pregnancy include lack of uncertainty after the birth and the way it might participate in socioeconomic and cultural disparities in teen pregnancy. Sense of control in participants is endangered by mitigating uncertainty. Teenage childbearing might result in the worst health outcomes and might be a risk to the economic growth of the country. Pregnant teenagers are less probable to get higher education and are less capable to earn extra revenue over the life course, causing financial losses to the state. Teens are at greater risk for pregnancy-concerned higher blood pressure and its difficulties as compared to average aged mothers. The dangers for the baby comprise premature birth, as well as low weight of the mother, can harm baby or kidneys of both mother and baby.

Explain why a health concern or need is important for health promotion within a specific population.

Sayem et al. (2018) researched to explore that there are various health concerns related to teen pregnancy, as teens appear to remain at enhancing the risk of premature birth, anemia, and high blood pressure, experiencing post-partum stress and low weight of babies. During pregnancy, prenatal visits can aid the health care specialist of teenagers to deliver health of baby and teens. Moreover, teenagers might require particular prenatal care. Teenagers require additional nutrients, iron, calcium, folic acid. Regular prenatal prey can aid to fill the gaps. There are various health risks for the baby, as lack of prenatal care in teens is all because of higher drinking and smoking. Smoking can enhance the danger of pregnancy difficulties, stillbirth, and premature birth. Teen pregnancies alter the whole life course of young girls and also the life of their partner (Sayem et al., 2018). These are concerned with a higher rate of criminal behaviors in fathers comprising a decrease in future revenue, lower level of education, drug and alcohol abuse. Associating with correct obstetricians can support young teens by challenging life that is important for all causes. Therefore, with higher rates of postpartum stress, teen mothers have higher rates of stress. They also have a higher suicidal ideation rate as compared to aristocracies who are not mothers. Teen mothers are more probable to practice PTSD (Post-traumatic Stress Disorder) as compared to teenage females.

Current Population Health Data

About 12 million girls give birth to babies every year at sixteen years of age. Children who are born with these teenagers, in some cases, can develop some health issues; for example, children might be victims of infant death and lesser birth weight (George et al., 2019). Other cases might affect outcomes in bad cognitive development while other people might cause health issues; therefore, to regulate these problems, the perfect method is to get rid of teenage pregnancies. Chosen teen girls are concerned about the targeted population, as these all suffer from pregnancy due to early pregnancy.

Advantages of Teenage Girls to Health Promotion Education Plan

Health education is very important for teenagers. It can help them acquire functional health knowledge, practice skills, empower beliefs and attitudes, and maintain and adopt healthy behaviors throughout their lives.

Development of a Sociogram

Effects of social, economic, cultural, genetic, and lifestyle behaviors on Health

The effects of these behaviors on health include stigma, violence, or rejection by peers, parents, and the community. Girls who become a prior age of eighteen years are more likely to experience violence with partnership or marriage (Kotelchuck& Lu, 2017).

Learning Needs and Agreed-upon health goals in collaboration with hypothetical participants

The current behaviors of teenage girls are to adopt preventive measures to have a good life. There must be clear expectations for educational sessions. Babies born by teenage mothers are accountable for 50% of the world population, and most pregnancies are not planned. At the end of this health promotion plan, it is important to incline to aid the community, particularly to the people in their adult age, and also live a healthy life. It is examined that pregnancies result from internal pressure and peer influence. It is important to maintain an educational plan for teenage mothers. For example, a teenage girl named, Emma, gets pregnant. She does not know how to take care of her and her baby during these nine months. She also belongs to a slum area, and she can’t afford sessions or classes related to teen pregnancy education. In the education session, SMART goals will be addressed during this session.

Specific

The specific goal is to explain all the health risks related to teen pregnancy. These health risks include premature birth, anemia, and high blood pressure. The main aim is to spread awareness about decreasing rate of births and pregnancies to youth in targeted locations,

Measurable

Enhancing youth access to proof-based and informed programs to prevent pregnancy in teenagers. Enhance in connections between teen pregnancy prevention schemes as well as society-based clinical amenities (Ncongwane, 2018).

Achievable

The goal is attainable as it will help to change the behavior of teenagers by raising awareness regarding the possibility that might become pregnant or cause a companion to become pregnant. The negative and serious results of teenage paternity and maternity include lack of attention of themselves as well as the baby.

Relevant

The goals are relevant, as teen pregnancy is the main contributor to child and maternal mortality. Difficulties concerned with childbirth and pregnancy are the leading reasons for the demise of girls aged fifteen to nineteen at the global level. Pregnant teens also face health complications and risks because of immature figures.

Time-bound

The educational program would be about one month, as the program will help to alter the behaviors of teens.

Agree Upon Goals

These agreed-upon health goals are established in interaction with hypothetical participants (Emma). Teen pregnancy is increasing in society in which ten out of a hundred young underage girls become pregnant each year. Inventiveness is anticipated if an ongoing solution is attained for upcoming sustainability. The percentage is higher compared to 60% of the national score compared to the national average (Sharma, 2020). The findings also demonstrate that the teenagers who unluckily get pregnant face a higher possibility of failure to fulfill their education and to pass from severe depression and trauma (Yakubu&Salisu, 2018). Lack of adequate education would apply to lack of earning potential of earning. Therefore, poverty forces them to depend on other persons who might benefit from them for unauthorized activities like forced work and prostitution. They are also low-priced to need it at a minimum rate of wages. Unborn kids are probable to suffer from health-concerned issues at major development stages, neglect, abuse, and incurring bad performance. These goals are also connected to policies that might be accepted to reduce the rate of teenage pregnancies at all prices.

Goals

· Improvement in assertiveness and communication capability.

· To recognize the main three health risks due to teen pregnancy such as anemia, premature birth, and high blood pressure.

· Improvement in self-esteem.

· Counseling on family planning in the upcoming three months.

· Promotion in accountable sexual behavior.

· Development of community programs for bringing improvement in social programs.

Conclusion

There is a reduction in early pregnancies among adolescent and teenage girls, as the problems are still an issue to public health, particularly to the teenage girls who are surviving in rustic areas and those living in shantytowns. There are various effects of teenage pregnancy, particularly on affected teenagers, families, children, and society. Being a health facility, functions are performed that aim to improve the health of persons in numerous societies.
