Every percentage point match over 30% will equal a one (1) point deduction from the overall grade of the paper. If the paper matches greater than or equal to 50%, it will not be graded and the student must submit a replacement paper on a different subject/topic. Replacement papers will be graded with a maximum value of 80% of the original assignment point value. In addition to the 20 percent deduction, the replacement paper remains subject to point deductions for matches over 30%. A zero (0) will be recorded in the grade book for replacement papers not submitted by the deadline set forth by the faculty member.
