Houser, J. (2018). Nursing research: Reading, using, and creating evidence. Burlington, MA: Jones & Bartlett Learning.

After the data have been analyzed, conclusions are made regarding what the findings mean. Then, this information must be shared with your healthcare team.

1. Choose one of the articles from the Week 5 RRL assignment, and discuss the findings. Would you apply the evidence found to your practice? Explain your answer.

2. Translating research into practice is the final and most important step in the research process. Review information you found your nursing clinical issue and explain ways in which you would share the research-based evidence with your peers.

As you answer this week’s discussion question regarding applying evidence to practice, consider the validity and strength of the findings from the research you have appraised and the level of evidence produced - how appropriate are the findings for practice? As you reflect upon the literature you have obtained through searching on a topic, think about ways that research-based evidence or new practices are shared at your organization? How do staff find out about new evidence? What opportunities are there for you to share your new found evidence? Please reflect upon all these things as you answer this week’s discussion question.
