Quality improvement plays a crucial role in professional nursing. There are several different ways to approach a quality issue, but why should we work to achieve standardization in our processes? As you complete your assigned readings and lesson for this week, think about how the use of a structured process, such as DMAIC methodology, can impact results of a quality improvement project perhaps even your own nursing care issue.
