Media Plan Assessment Instructions
DUE November 5th
An analysis of the media plan in use and your proposed improvements to the existing advertising media plan of a corporation, non-profit, ministry, brand, or product that you have chosen. Generate an analysis of this entity using the information learned in the readings so far.
**Be sure you have received approval for your topic via the Media Plan Approval assignment in the previous module/week**
It is important to choose an organization large enough and in business long enough that it will allow you to discover information on the existing media plan.
Elements of your analysis should include:
· Identification of whatever elements of advertising/media plan are currently in use.
· Ex: commercials, social media, etc. – all the ways/places you see this entity’s public face.
· A SWOT assessment – the SWOT analysis is an itemized list of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in bullet-point form. A SWOT template is required. See info on templates below.
· Situational Analysis – the situation analysis is a narrative form explanation of the SWOT elements AND the following three specific areas. Refer to the text to understand the meaning and use of these three areas.
· Target market
· Geographic influence
· Seasonality and Timing
· References included in the research created for this project
Structure and Format
Format:
· The paper should be 6–8 pages in length.
· The paper is to be APA formatted. APA requires a title page, an abstract, paper content and a reference page(s).
· The paper content length (6–8 pages) does NOT include the title page, abstract page or any reference pages. Ex. A 6-page paper with title, abstract and one reference page would actually be 9 pages total.
· Grammar, Spelling and Proofreading are included in grading the paper.
Be sure to use appropriate APA formatting.
