This professional reading assignment requires one article from a recent (2010-2017 publication) acceptable professional journal to be chosen, read, and reviewed by the student. Professional journals include The Journal of Nuclear Medicine, The Journal of Nuclear Medicine Technology, Seminars in Nuclear Medicine, and Clinical Nuclear Medicine. (The RT Image, Radiology Today, and the Advance are news magazines and are not acceptable sources of articles for this assignment.) The article must be about SPECT, SPECT/CT Imaging, PACS, image processing, or Computers in Nuclear Medicine. If unsure about whether an article meets this criteria, please ask the instructor for approval. It must be a peer reviewed article (authors listed, date of submission, date of acceptance, etc). No editorial comments, invited commentary, case study presentations, or organization reports are acceptable. A copy of the article MUST be included or points will be deducted. You may use the journals on the bookshelf or access the journal articles on-line through your SNM memberships. A cover page MUST be included.

The paper needs to be typed, 2 – 4 pages in length (excluding the cover page), and double spaced. You
must attach a copy of the article in order to get full credit. You will be graded on grammar, spelling,
summary of the article, and your conclusions about the article, author, and how it pertains to nuclear
medicine. Your complete paper and copy of the article will be due by the above due date. Early
submissions are encouraged!
