How does Obsessive- Compulsion Disorder symptoms manifest in at risk individuals?

Obsessive- Compulsive Disorder is a severe form of anxiety. How do you as PMHNP differentiate OCD symptoms from that of generalized anxiety symptoms?

Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI) are the main stay pharmacological treatment for the symptoms of OCD. As a PMHNP, how do chose the best SSRI to initiate psychotropic treatment for a patient with OCD symptoms?
