Arab Americans’ Americanization Experiences

Instructions;

Provide a one-page critical analysis on the below prompts;

· Explain three (3) significant findings from class discussions that you found most significant and why.

· Use Freire, Chapter 1 and 2 to evaluate the effect of Islamophobia on Arab and Muslim Americans continued Americanization status given the current political climate. Can this previously know “Good American” ethnic group retain its status?

· What does Arab Americans’ Americanization status and force “white” identity – as explained through the video We Are Not White say about race, and white identifying in America? Does the materials suggest that White identifying in America is contingent upon status successes in income, education, occupation, etc.?
