As a teacher assistant at a local Elementary school, role modeling appropriate social behavior and open healthy communication is a very important aspect of a healthy work culture that is currently missing at my place of employment. In organizations as large as my place of employment strong leadership, a healthy work culture and open communication should be habitual and is vital to the success of the organization as a whole. In order to operate as a cohesive unit and operate at optimum performance leadership has to be strong and innovative. Unfortunately, the organization I work for currently needs new leadership and a better communication system. Efficient and effective communication starts at the top and works its way down. Open communication with supervisors leading and being open to new ideas makes for a healthy work culture that encourages its employees to thrive.

Leading change requires great leadership and true leadership requires transformation of the organizations structure, goods or processes. The changes being made should impact the way work is performed as well as have a momentous effect on all staff starting from the top all the way down to entry level positions. The significance of leadership in any organizations cannot be taken lightly. Quality leadership can make or break an organizations success. Strong leadership Is the upmost important component to a successful organization with a healthy work culture. Leadership that is efficient can increase and improve the productivity of any organization. Through effective leadership, team work is encouraged and accomplished, communication flourishes, productivity increases and the work culture is healthy and inviting. The purpose of this paper is to identify what improvements can be made in leadership at my current place of employment, point out how lack of communication intertwines with leadership and effects the organization, and discuss solutions I feel could solve these problems.
