Theme Analysis

To prepare:

· Review the following, Stage 2: Conducting the DHA Doctoral Project Analysis

· Thematic Analysis

· Review the Learning Resources on coding literature. 

· Consider the common elements that you have seen throughout the literature and how you might organize that information.

· Conduct a close reading on each of your sources, and use your review question and framework to annotate passages that illustrate related themes.

The Assignment: Completing the DHA Thematic Analysis Results Matrix

· Theme Evidence Notes: Use your framework constructs to extract sentences or phrases from each source that provide evidence of themes using the DHA Thematic Analysis Results Matrix document.

· Note: Your list should include phrases, not sentences or lengthy paragraphs. Your goal is to provide brief excerpts that illustrate the themes and thematic relationships you identified so that someone unfamiliar with your literature could understand the evidence behind your reasoning.
