National practice problem
Among the national-level stakeholders that are affected by this practice problem involve financially disadvantaged patients who cannot afford to pay for these services. Other stakeholders affected are the healthcare workers who are supposed to provide services to the patients. Healthcare organizations are also affected in terms of revenue by this practice problem (Ewbank et al, 2018). Stakeholders involved in the resolution include healthcare officials at both the federal and state level. These are responsible for making policies that could help resolve this problem. Insurance companies are also involved in the resolution to ensure that most patients are insured (Ewbank et al, 2018).
Clinical practice guidelines are not used to address this problem. This is because clinical practice guidelines are recommendations based on research evidence about how patient care is supposed to be delivered. An intervention that could be used to address this problem at a national level involves ensuring that most of the population is insured (Lewiecki et al, 2019). Uninsured and underinsured patients who have genuine financial challenges should be offered financial assistance. This would reduce the burden of cost on the healthcare organizations while ensuring that all patients can access quality healthcare services (Lewiecki et al, 2019).
