National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) Presentation Speech
“What are some of the aspects that guide the provision of care by pediatric nurse practitioners? It is essential to answer this question while exploring information concerning NAPNAP. There are facts you need to know about NAPNAP foundation. The foundation was formed in 1978 under the organization of National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. In 1979, NAPNAP was incorporated in Virginia’s Commonwealth organizations list as a non-profit organization. The association is headed by a board of directors whose elections are approved by NAPNAP’s executive board. The mission of the organization is focused on offering support and improving the quality of life for children and their families through administering and awarding funds for advanced pediatric caregiving education, clinical projects, research, and special initiatives (Heuer et al., 2019). Vision: NAPNAP envisions to be named the global leader with indispensable resource and trusted authority on evidence-based advanced nursing care soon.
Currently, NAPNAP membership consists of more than 8,000 members who become part of Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs), Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs), and Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (PNPs). These members work to improve the health of children and their families through mentoring future pediatric caregivers and children advocates. Continuing education program accommodates continuing students through student membership. The inclusive, sustainable and innovative programs offer several benefits to the members. Secondly, members benefit from the professional home and educational programs that provide lifelong learning and inquiry under the highly accessible and quality education. Thirdly, NAPNAP membership provides a platform to mentor current and prospective members.
