If you are currently employed is it in your desired career? If you are not currently working what is your designed career?

I am not currently employed in my desired career. I wish to be a CEO of software company making high quality high performance softwares for the Information Technology industry. A job where my work ethic and abilities are recognized, and I can make a meaningful difference to the organization. The products may be like Google, Microsoft, Apple products or similar high technology items for the next gen companies. In the short term I wish to be management analyst or business development professional analyzing market demand and work with advanced research staff to develop and deploy those products.

What do you like most about your job? Explain.

What I like most about my job is my employer's focus on results vs hours spent or exact work location. I work from home three days per week to save on a lengthy commute. As long as I pay attention to results and getting my work done, it really doesn't matter if I start at 5:30 am or 7:30 am or noon... it's what comes from it that counts. Technology plays a crucial role in allowing for one to be flexible. Being able to balance a home-work life is very important to me.

The fact that my employer understands that, actually increases my productivity and commitment to the job. What I like best about my job is that a primary responsibility involves interacting with

employees on all various levels of the organization and across all functional areas. I love that I get to learn new things about the company/business/market/etc. every day, and they only occasionally are finance/accounting specific. I enjoy being appreciated for my work either through performance pay or at least someone taking the time to tell me, point blank, that they appreciate my efforts.

If absolutely no obstacles stood in the way of your achieving it, what would you most

like to attain in your career?

I wish to be a senior Executive in a multinational company developing and selling advance technology navigational products to the next generation automobile industry.

My goal right now is to find a position at a company where I can grow and take on new challenges over time. Ultimately, I’d like to assume more management responsibilities and get involved in product strategy. But most importantly, I want to work for an organization where I can build a career.

Where would you like to be in your career in 5 years? In 10 years? In 15 years?

In five years, I'd like to see my confidence level and managerial skills improved to point where I can manage a team of 50 to 100 people with diverse technical and managerial backgrounds. I would love to be able to train and mentor junior staff and manage an effective team to meet the goals of my employer. I don't have a specific plan, but I do know that I want to stay in this field, doing work at increasing levels of responsibility and skill, in an environment where I feel like I'm playing a meaningful role. One of the reasons this position excites me is because I think it will move me in that direction.

A 10 years wish list would be to become a senior executive of a mid-size electronic manufacturing company supplying advance technology products to tomorrows automobile industry.
