Nader Zarazel College Admission Essay
Throughout my younger years while growing up, I have always had a penchant for hard work. I have tried my best to maximize on the opportunities I have stumbled upon and been fortunate enough to succeed in some. For instance, although I initially managed a dismal Grade Point Average of 1.7 in my freshman year, I raised to an impressive 3.2 in sophomore year. I make an effort to keep myself occupied during my downtime, irrespective of the rewards I may accrue. It matters little the engagement I have; I contribute the maximum amount of effort at my disposal. The mere decision to pursue biomedical engineering points to this quality. In joining this institution, I believe I will be in an environment where I can perform effectively, which I feel will push me to perform just as well, if not better.
Existing in new environments is a trait I have developed over the years. Case in point, my parents’ native country is Egypt, where I have visited occasionally. Also, my dad moved to the Bahamas in my freshman year. I have spent my post-high-school years principally alone, which has helped me become more adaptable and independent than I initially was. For instance, I am now working for Eco Club as a gardener, which has so far taught me the basics of exterior design and helped me develop the patience necessary to see something to its completion, as I have done by planting flowers and watching them bloom a few weeks later.
Having originated from Egypt, I have grown acquainted with diverse cultures, primarily American and Arab. I think that diverse backgrounds and languages make institutions colorful and culturally rich. I believe that if the college grants me the opportunity to be part of the student body, I will bring on board diversity, hard work, and academic prowess, all of which factors will prove instrumental in promoting the image of the institution and fostering the future of research.
