My Personal Leadership and Ethics Statement

Life is a journey of experimental learning. An ever-evolving, incessant cycle of gaining knowledge through active participation, trial and error, and my own reflective refinement processes. Thus, empowering me with the aptitude to scrutinize, realize, and correct my behavior so as to improve upon my actions, proficiencies, and comprehension.

Integrity, loyalty, empathy, patience, and love are at the core of my ethics statement. These essential traits shape my character, temperament, and behavior. They are my foundation, which lend me the fortitude to serve as an honorable, constructive, and competent leader, family member, partner, co-worker, and friend, whom others can depend upon to make ethical decisions. Through integration of my outward actions and my inner values, I have an introspective capacity and prudence to lead by example. Mindfully cultivating these characteristics is my lifelong purpose.

This is who I am, whom I resolutely strive to be, my code of conduct, and a representation of what one can envisage of me. Below are my personal leadership ethics statements and the code by which I intentionally and firmly strive to uphold. My directives for life:

1. I will abide by the laws, rules, and regulations of my community, school, work, and country.

2. I will conduct myself with integrity, fidelity, and honesty. I will openly take responsibility for my actions, and only make agreements, which I intend to keep.

3. I will not intentionally engage in or participate in any form of malicious harm to another person or animal.

4. I will remain curious, objective, and open minded about other people’s ideas, choices, and religious beliefs.

5. I will practice thoughtful self-control when responding to others. 6. I will continue to learn, observe, read, connect, listen, and search for knowledge. I will

proactively participate and openly communicate such gained knowledge with others. 7. In my personal relationships, I will adhere to all of the above, including disengaging

and/or limiting interaction with those who purposefully contravene my code of ethics. 8. In my work relationships, I will adhere to all of the above, while maintaining

professionalism in the face of adversity.
