TEACHER’S FEEDBACK

Hi John - You earned a grade of F on this paper (45%). There are several areas needing more detail and explanation. Please review my feedback below.

In giving you feedback your paper really didn't describe the organization. Your overview of the organization was brief. The issue wasn't clearly defined nor did you precisely demonstrate how the issue(s) impact the organization. What I mean, Ihsan, is that you need to ask yourself, "did I give all the information to answer the question so anyone not familiar with the problem know exactly what you are taking about. Solid examples are always needed to make the connection in what you are discussing.

In terms of the analyzing the current culture, the paper lacks details and/or multiple sources are not utilized to provide a well-rounded perspective. There were loose connections that were not supported by sources or that were not fully articulated. You did not properly analyze the current corporate culture which should have been detailed. Giving examples would have supported your analysis of the corporate culture.

Now, in this part of the paper you made loose connections between the weaknesses and supporting material. the part of the paper where you really need to brainstorm is generating strengths and weaknesses of the organization. Here I'd like to have seen you dig deep in understanding the issues so you could give strengths and weaknesses of the organization. This is where you've got to think of the issues beyond how they only apply to you but the organization in general. This is the thought process you should go through before giving me strengths and weaknesses. The benefits to the organization is unclear.

When you develop a program you must evaluate options to come to a resolution, you need to make sure to fully describe modifications to the organization that will impact the organization. What you are wanting to do is to ensure your medications resolve the issues. In this section, you needed to provide more explanation of your modification to the organizational practices and solutions to resolve the issues. Supporting details are given but could be expanded to give more detail and source material. Also, the application of research is minimal.

Your references met the paper requirement. Good job!

THE PAPER I WORTE AND GOT AN “F” ON:

FM Auto Sales

FM Auto Sales is a small used car dealership, and I have been with this organization for almost 3 years. It is over all a great organization to work for but just like any other organization, it has its own issues as well. I will be discussing one of the issues and solutions to address the issue.

The biggest issue we have been dealing with is regarding employees stealing money and dishonesty. We always have one or 2 employees that somehow steal money as we deal with large cash from car sales. I have come to know few different ways they steal money and each time we try to make changes to stop that issue, we still cannot stop it completely.

The current corporate culture does provide a hand in this issue since we are dealing with large cash at the dealership. Whenever there is cash involved, there is always a risk for money being stolen. This is not the case with every employee about stealing but there are always some who would act upon this and get caught. Making some minor changes to corporate culture can help to get better control on the issue.

I believe the areas of weakness in this organization is lack of monitoring and strong policies which can help being this issue to halt. Other Employees not reporting when they

see theft happening also an issue. There are not enough cameras around to monitor all the areas where there should be monitoring devices in place.

The first organization practice I would suggest modifying is to introduces cashless system in the organization since there now there are plenty of choices available in cashless systems area. Lots of apps like Venmo, Cashapp, Zelle and Paypal are being used to avoid cash handling. By having cashless system in place, we can eliminate cash handling which will put a stop on cash stealing.

The second practice would be to put in place strong company polices where stealing is addressed along the severe consequences. Another employee who sees the act happening and fail to report should have strong punishment as well which will encourage other employees to report stealing when they see it. Having more cameras around will also help as having the thought of being watched if an employee is thinking about stealing, it will stop him doing so.
