Statement of Purpose

I am Abby Ibrahim, an international student from Saudi Arabia. I am proficient speaker of Arabic and English. I am honored to apply for the PHD of Linguistics at your institute because as I searched about the best university to study at this field, I found that your university is one of the best. Since I was a student at the intermediate school, I was interested in studying the language of English. So, I put that as a goal and a dream I had to make it true. I enjoyed learning English since that time until I graduated from high school and I decided to take English language as my major.

In 2007, I had my Bachelor degree of English Language from Azuz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. After I graduated, I worked as a teacher of English from 2007-2010 at one of the elementary private schools called King faisal Schools in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It was one of the best schools that English classes were powerful. From 2007-2008, I was a teacher of the second grade. From 2008-2009, I was a teacher of the third grade. From 2009-2010, I was a teacher of the fourth grade and the assistance of the English department supervisor.

In 2015, I had my master degree of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). I worked really hard to learn and to achieve the best grades. I am so proud that my GPA is 4/4 and I am a member of the honor society Phi Kappa Phi for my achievement. As I have my master degree at ESOL, my dream was to complete my education at Linguistics, especially at your school because I looked at the program and I really loved the powerful of this department.

After I graduate, I would love to be a teacher of Linguistics at one of the universities in Saudi Arabia. It would be a great opportunity to give my future students all the great information and knowledge they need at this field. My last experience as a teacher of English at elementary school encouraged me to think about completing my education, so, since I graduated from Western Salem university, I was looking for the best university to apply for my PHD. After lots of search, I found your university and my ambitious to be one of its students.
