Rationale Analysis of Social Security Administration

        Kaila S.

        Grant

        Professor Smith

        PAD 599 April 20,2022

        Introduction

        2

The agency I chose was the (SSA), commonly referred as the Social Security Administration of the United States.

This is a federally funded autonomous organization that administers Social Security, a national insurance scheme that gives pension, disability, and survivor benefits.

This social insurance organization offers financial security across over 158 million military individuals and families.

Over 64 million residents are eligible for Social Security payments that the organization provides out yearly to the tune of roughly 508 billion (Derthick, 2011).

        2

The Social Security Administration was the first insurance scheme established by the federal government during the 1930's Great Depression.

It was intended to aid elderly and disabled American residents.

In terms of handicapped clients, the agency's primary purpose is to assist individuals seeking work by assisting people with their unique career objectives.

        2

SSA understands the critical nature of assisting young persons in their efforts to navigate the path to adulthood (Derthick, 2011). While the Great Depression aided in the formation of the Social Security Administration, the notion of social protection preceded the Depression, and the committee's activities preceded the Depression.

The Social Security Administration's objective is to satisfy the evolving requirements of the people by providing social security benefits (Ni et al., 2013).

Supplemental Security Insurance (SSI) was included within the SSA framework since it was established to distribute financial assistance to low-income individuals and those with impairments (Derthick, 2011).

Additionally, it contains Social Security Disability Insurance, which provides payments to persons with impairments of all types as well as those who are eligible for insured status based on their defined amount of work credits through salary deductions.

        Agency Functions

        2

The US Social Security Administration's mission is to offer financial help to American residents who are handicapped, aged, or require financial means to meet their basic necessities.

They handle the national contribution national insurance schemes.

Within these services are those for survivors of old age, disability benefits, and supplementary security assistance for crippled, elderly, and blind residents (Brandt et al., 2016).

Additionally, the SSA administers some aspects of the “National Coal Mine Health and Safety Act of 1969's” black lung benefit requirements.

        Organizational Design

        3

The Social Security Administration is led by Commissioner Dr.

Kilolo Kijakazi, who has served in that capacity since July 9, 2021 (SSA.gov).

The Administration employs around 60 thousand people.

Each community in the United States has at minimum one Social Security office, and each region has a processing facility that handles applicants and complaints for handicapped and elderly individuals and their families.

        “The Social Security Administration has several departments that include Operations;

        4

        Budget, Finance, and Management;

        Systems;

        4

        and Regional Commissioners in Atlanta, Dallas, San Francisco, and Chicago. The Commissioner's Office is directly accountable for all Social Security Administration-managed projects; for state-controlled initiatives managed by the Social Security Administration;

and for particular capabilities related to the dark lung benefit project (SSA.gov).

The commissioners of the Social Security Administration have enormous responsibilities for executing Administration policy and ensuring cooperation amongst news organizations and equality of opportunity.

        5

Among the Social Security Administration's many obligations, I discovered that the primary one would be to keep correct records of each person's Social Security earnings.

They may, nevertheless, maintain such data with the assistance of the Internal Revenue Service.

        5

Nearly every day, we witness the Social Security Administration's capabilities in the way they operate.

For example, Social Security is divided into several divisions, which enables the Administration to operate efficiently.

        5

Nevertheless, they, like every other institution, have flaws. For instance, if the two top executives of the Social Security Administration were to resign for whatever purpose, who would be the next in line and take over and govern the agency until a successor is appointed?

        1

        Evaluation of Planning and Implementation

The Social Security Administration's Department of International Initiatives is in charge of The United States Program of Global Social Security Arrangements, or the United States installment.

        4

Federal retirement assistance benefits outside the United States Federal retirement assistance benefits outside the United States, alien outsider charges denying United States Federal retirement assistance benefits, and Social Security programs in other countries (SSA.gov).

The board is composed of favorably recruitment of new individuals who have been trained and produced to serve as a useful resource for the organization.

The employee are accountable for maintaining a favorable relationship with the twenty-six countries in order to maintain the structures which allow individuals who work from outside United States to receive their compensation, that assumes a common global link.

As a result, those who operate both in and out of U.

        S.

will receive their pension in any scenario.

Similarly, a worldwide connection is to be anticipated, ensuring that individuals do not get payments from more than one nation.

Registration or hiring is a crucial capability of the Human Resource department.

        5

This capability refers to the selection and enrolment of Human Resources for the organization in question.

Natural selection occurs for many positions in this work.

People take up the role of the organization in this regard.

        Qualified faculties are hired by recruitment measures;

qualified candidates are hired via enlisting measures.

        4

Job opportunities are available at the Social Security Administration via the Office of Personnel Management.

The Office seeks individuals with remarkable capabilities for a variety of jobs.

        5

Additionally, candidates may safeguard job-related data in the organization's public areas.

Additionally, the site provides information about unusual work possibilities, the application process, and salary.

Additionally, the Office recruits individuals with impairments directly by employing unique non-cutthroat experts, for example, Veterans Recruitment Authority.

The Social Security Administration's employee development initiatives benefit both employees and the company as a whole.

Generally, educated and developed employees with competent goals do well than individuals who receive little training and development from respective supervisors.

Representatives who work well will aid organizations and groups in achieving success, and employees may make the most out of their job whenever they seek a goal.

At the Social Security Administration, employees are assigned unique preparation assignments to aid them in developing and completing in their areas of expertise.

        5

The organization provides both beginner and advanced teaching.

Depending on the employment, the applicant will be picked to prepare, and it'll be consistent, not a one-time approach.

A thorough analysis of preparatory needs aids in the effective utilization of eligible assets.

As persuasive preparation is a critical component of effective commercial action, serious consideration of the requisite competencies for creating demands is uncommon (Riccucci, Norma 2017).

Numerous characteristics and limitations exist in the organizations critical and advanced organizing tasks.

The training program's benefit is that it is continuous and builds a worker's competence to operate in the particular job.

The second factor is that preparation aides representatives in gaining specific knowledge about their work environment.

The primary issue of this training course is that employees are confined to their assigned roles and thus are incapable of doing other tasks as successfully as they accomplish their assigned jobs.

Additionally, their concentrations and spread are constrained.

        Recommendations

An agency like Social Security may express level-headed and feasible training by effectively examining the required skills of every job, analyzing the practice requires completing the needed capabilities.

        4

For the Social Security Agency, the following accomplishments can:

        • Employees might be trained in multiple locations rather than simply a single place to carry out many duties, and consequently, their output and efficiency would rise.

The task of occupancy turn would turn out to be easy and subsequently the exposition of the Office will enhance more.

        • The corporation might likewise zoom in on Personal development initiatives.

It is a strategy for employee development that focuses areas on professional presence of representatives.

With this strategy, representatives and managers collaborate in agreement to create competent and personalized targets.

This will aid the company with establishing a more committed and skilled work force that can serve it better.

        Conclusion

        1

The Social Security Administration (SSA) is a self-contained government organization.

        2

The advantage of this scheme is that you may place money away and save it till individuals reach retirement age, at which point you can withdraw it from the savings you set aside. This organization was established to assist American citizens, but my primary concern is for those who may be qualified for benefits but did not spend a significant amount of money in the insurance.

In general, this agency is critical to American citizens, and it is up to every one of us to continue to work and investing in this insurance so that we may profit when we reach the applicable age.
