Museum/Cultural Experience Assignment Grading and Criteria

In preparing the Museum/Cultural Experience, students will be required to choose one of the Experience assignment sheets and write complete sentence responses to each of the questions, but not in essay form. The following ideas are how this item will be graded:

1) Download and type out responses directly into the document. Handwritten submissions will have a 25% deduction.

2) If an answer to any of the questions is missing any key aspects of the question asked, like a specific example or a specific answer to a direct question, there may be a 5-10% deduction for each key aspect missed.

3) Answer the questions in complete sentences. This does not include items like names of artists/composers/etc, titles of works, and dates. For the rest of the items, complete sentences are required. If the responses are not in complete sentences, there will be a 20% deduction.

4) The effect is best to use one of the approved performances and to prove attendance, please copy the web address of the link of the page where the performance/museum is and include it at the end of the worksheet. No web address will result in a 15% deduction. Also, if a student writes on an event/museum that is not approved without the approval of faculty then the grade result will be determined at the instructor’s discretion of whether it will be a zero or if the submission will be able to earn points.
