HUMA 1301 Museum Visit Assignment
· The Assignment: You must visit a local museum, find one work of art that addresses a theme of our course (slavery, colonialism, colorism, feminism, race), and write up a short review of the work using the sheet attached. You MUST turn in your ticket stub (or, if tickets are not handed out at the museum you choose), a picture of yourself in front of a sign or entrance that clearly shows the museum name.
· Where you can go:
The Museum of Fine Arts in downtown Houston is free on Thursdays!

Here is a list of other free museums in the Houston area:

If for some reason, you will be unable to attend a museum (transportation issues) talk to me early about an alternative possibility.
· Grading: This assignment is worth 5 points of your daily grade, so that is 5% of your entire course grade! You will be graded on how thoroughly you answer the questions on the assignment sheet and on how clearly the work you choose reflects our course themes.
· Submission: To be handed in in hard copy at the beginning of class time WEDNESDAY MAY 30th.
