Group Project

Purpose: To investigate the historical or theoretical background of an influential nursing leader. To share informative and interesting facts surrounding this person.

Remember that your focus will be either the historical influence of this person or how this person contributed to a nursing theory and what is that theory. Include what this information means to your group as a beginning nursing student….

Your group will put together a 12-slide power point. 10 slides of information, a title slide, a reference slide.

The key to this presentation is to be informative and creative. Share facts and do it in an interesting and creative way! Keep your audience’s attention.

Each member of your group will be responsible for a portion of the information that is gathered.

Each member must also participate in presentation.

You will have 7 minutes to present so that means your group must practice and refine this presentation, so it comes off professional, creative, and meets the highest score on the rubric.

Your references must use APA formatting for references. Consult your APA guideline tool.

The rubric is your key…. use that to check your presentation so that you will gain the highest grade.

Each member will receive the same grade.

The leader of the team is the one responsible for ensuring that each member pulls their weight.

The leader will send me the power point presentation the week prior to your group’s presentation date, that way I can review and let you know if there are any changes needed. I will be creating a list of presentations and times that you will receive…it is vital to follow the presentation list exactly…there will be only 2 minutes between presentation, so organization is the key.
