Marketing Problem by Nike Company
Nike company is the leading apparel producing organization globally. The company has experienced resilience in past years, provided it has not fallen short of consumption for its products. The apparel industry has faced several issues that include criticism over forced labor and major companies failing to meet the customer needs (Toften & Hammervoll, 2013). Nike has achieved immense success over the years being the leading organization; however, it has experienced marketing problems that have led to the reducing popularity of its productsreducing its products' popularity in the previous years. The marketing problem most considered is a common issue in the apparel industry and is demonstrated as follows.
Marketing problem is the appealing nature of the products to the consumers, however, their unwillingness to purchase the apparel products. Nike is currently experiencing a shrinking income on the sale of apparel product since the consumers may be interested in the products they produce and sell but are unwilling to purchase them (Toften & Hammervoll, 2013). The changes in consumer trends in purchases and consumption of the apparel products has changed the marketing dynamics, whereby consumers will show their interest in new products, recommend for innovative approaches, however, they reduced their expenses in on the items. During the global coronavirus pandemic, the apparel industry has faced a major decline in the revenue from the attentions of consumersconsumers' attention to reduce reducing their purchases on of products. Nike company has been a leading organization and conducting its marketing direct to the customers, as well as product tailor- s its marketing directly to the customers and product tailor-made for various target markets (Toften & Hammervoll, 2013). The marketing has not borne any success in the previous years as consumers have changed their trends in the consumption and purchases of such products, where majority of the consumers prefer cheaper products to those of Nike and other luxury firms.
Marketing Research Problem Statement
The high growth rate of the apparel industryapparel industry's high growth rate has led to the development of major companies that deal in cheap alternative products compared to those in leading institutions such as Nike. Tthis has led to the change of focus and purchasing trends of consumers, who now prefer the less expensive product's but with similar quality. Additionally, the changes in consumer demands can be based on the Enlightenment of various countries to produce locally made apparels which affect the purchases of international companies' productthat affect international companies' purchases (Nayak, 2015). the changes in consumer preferences and inability to purchase the product SUV led to decrease sales by Nike. The marketing problem is that the company continues to advertise and market their products to the consumers, but they show interest, however, they do not purchase the product's. The problem is based on the marketing approach by the institutions such as Nike to their consumer despite the growing trend by consumersconsumers' growing trend for cheaper products t. The study will be conducted to determine the best marketing approach to improve consumption of apparel products by Nike companyNike company's consumption of apparel products. It will as well enhance the abilities of the companlso enhance the companies' abilities to recognize consumer needs and capture in their marketing approaches. The lack of consideration to the research problem might lead to further issues with the apparel industry where consumers will change their tastes and major companies will fall (Hill & Lee, 2012). since the apparel industry has been experiencing saying major problems in the recent past, this research will enable companies to device means of elevating their sales performance and avoid the trap of declining inmajor problems in the recent past, this research will enable companies to device means of elevating their sales performance and avoid the trap of declining sales due to lack of proper marketing methods. The data concerning the marketing problem will be established through secondary studies the secondary research will be conducted from the books and articles concerning marketing research about Nike companyresearch from the books and articles concerning Nike company's marketing research. Majority of information regarding the company will emanate from the company's website and articles regarding its trends.
Summary
The desired outcomes of this market research are to established an approach through which Nike can entice its customers as well as an approach through which Nike can entice its customers and promote their purchasing decisions towards their products. This research problem analysis is will devise common trends used in marketing an established convenient means through which businesses should enhance their marketing responses the marketing research should achieve a clear engagement between the Nike company and its consumers development approaches through which different consumers will appreciate their products, engage in purchases, and influence these same consumers towards purchasing their goods regardless of the increasing need for local products.
