What prevention strategies exist to reduce the liklihood that children in the foster care system will experience abuse and/or become involved in delinquency/crime?
A review of the literature regarding the relationships between foster care, abuse, and delinquency will be conducted. An examination of programs across the country that support children in foster care and have been found to be effective in preventing or responding to abuse and delinquency among youth involved in the foster care system will be undertaken. Based on the findings of this review, a model program that address abuse and delinquency among youth in the foster care system will be developed.
The deadline for final project completion is December 9, 2021.
