The Stock market video by netflix was quite interesting to review . Though i am familiar with a lot of the information i also had a lot more to learn . Firstly i learn that the behemoth called the New York stock exchange was founded by just 24 who had a similar interests which demonstrates the power of an idea under right management. I also found revealing the fact that it is not the real value of a company or its stock that drives its stock prices but the most popular stories people believe about the companies and their stock which may either be fact backed or hyped . This in particular was revealing considering all the calculations made about stock pricing in the last class when in reality a a hype or fact could make a company rich or bankrupt. The philosophy on greed was also a surprising insight on why CEOs could make harmful choices in order to see share prices go up .: choices that are short term motivated fired by CEO rewards. i also find it surprising that the stock market in the USA has benefited less people as it increasingly grows . My Question will be is there a way to reverse this trend?

One main thing that I learned from the video that I did not previously know was that there are two parts to the stock market in the United States: the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations (Nasdaq). I also learned that indexes are what is used to determine how a company is doing in both markets. Additionally, I learned that the stock market is not the same in every country. While in the United States we have the NYSE and the Nasdaq other countries have their own version, similar to the ones in the United States but consisting of different companies. Previously I had believed that all companies existed in the same market regardless of their home country. The final thing I learned from the YouTube video was that stockholders and shareholders have more control of the company than what I originally realized. One question that I have is what the differences between the stock market in the United States are compared to other countries. I know that different companies are contained in each but what else? Another question that I had was how do you know what stocks to invest in? The video also briefly talked about this concept and focusing on the company's budget sheets but what else?
