Short Paper
Guidelines and Rubric
Evidence-Based Interventions, Recommendations, and Implementation
Overview: For this first milestone, due in Module Seven, you will make recommendations, supported by evidence, to address the global health issue in the final project case study, analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of various approaches. You will also outline how you will measure the success of the intervention, while also considering the roles that the various stakeholders will play in the ultimate success of the intervention.
Prompt: First, review the case study for the final project and the Literature Review: Evidenced-Based Interventions worksheet assignment that you completed in Module Five. Then, review the recommendations that you made for this module. You will incorporate those recommendations into this milestone.
In your paper, discuss the evidence-based interventions that are currently suggested for improving maternal health, including an assessment of the strengths, weakness, and potential outcomes of the interventions and an evaluation of the cultural and ethical considerations that stakeholders must take into account. You will then make recommendations for an intervention that will improve maternal health, and discuss how the intervention would improve maternal health. Finally, you will measure the success of the intervention in its implementation.
Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:
I. Evidence-Based Interventions
A. Analyze the evidence-based interventions in place for resolving this challenge and explain each component of the interventions.
B. Assess the interventions for strengths and weaknesses in addressing the global health challenge. Be sure to support your assessment with appropriate evidence-based research.
C. Explain outcomes of successful evidence-based interventions in addressing the global health challenge.
D. Explain the cultural considerations stakeholders must take into account when implementing these interventions. Support with appropriate evidence-based research.
E. Explain the ethical considerations stakeholders must take into account when working with the populations affected by the health challenge. Be sure to support with appropriate evidence-based research.
F. Assess how effectively the stakeholders addressed the considerations you identified, explaining your reasoning.
II. Recommendations
A. Recommend an alternative, appropriate evidence-based intervention strategy that could be implemented to help mitigate or address the health challenge, providing reasoning for your recommendation.
B. Defend how your recommended evidence-based intervention would improve the health status of the population. Include evidence from your assessment of previous or existing intervention strategies to support your claims.
III. Implementation
A. Explain the roles, responsibilities, and needs of stakeholders in rolling out the recommended intervention strategy.
B. Propose specific measurement strategies and tools for evaluating the success of your recommended intervention, explaining your reasoning.
C. Explain possible limitations in implementing your recommended intervention and provide strategies to avoid the limitations. Provide examples to support your claims.
Guidelines for Submission: Milestone Two should be submitted as a 2- to 3-page Word document. Use double-spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, one-inch margins, and the latest edition of the APA manual for formatting and citations. This milestone should include a total of three to five scholarly sources.

· Evidence-Based Interventions: Addressed- Assesses how effectively the stakeholders addressed the considerations identified and explains reasoning
· Recommendations: Evidence-Based Intervention- Recommends an alternative, appropriate evidence-based intervention strategy that could be implemented to help mitigate or address the health challenge and provides reasoning for recommendation reasoning
· Recommendations: Defend- Defends how the recommended evidence-based intervention would improve the health status of the population, including evidence from the assessment of previous or existing intervention strategies
· Implementation: Roles, Responsibilities, and Needs- Explains the roles, responsibilities, and needs of stakeholders in rolling out the recommended intervention strategy
· Implementation: Measurement Strategies and Tools- Proposes specific measurement strategies and tools for evaluating the success of the recommended intervention and explains reasoning
