Chapter 8 discusses working in groups and teams. A part of effectively working in groups and teams involves successfully developing a group to create cohesion. Review Tuckman's Five-Stage Model of Group Development in the course textbook. In two to three paragraphs, describe each of the five stages and provide an example how a public administrator could apply the model to drive group performance. Of the five stages, which do you think is the most important step? Why is this the most important step?

After reading this section of the chapter, explain the differences between functional and dysfunctional conflict. Do you think conflict can be functional and beneficial?
