After reading The Second Amendment, answer the following questions:
1. According to the author how did the Founders of the United States view the right to bear arms.
2. Why did the volunteer militia system fail? What does that say about our romantic imagery of brave farmers coming to the rescue of the nation?
3. When did the nation first start to argue for the rights to bear arms?
4. Why does the author state that each generation has its own interpretation
of the Second Amendment? What do you think about that?
5. Explain some of the early gun restriction laws.

7.Grammar and spelling must be correct.

c.Your name
d.Class time
9.Staple paper before coming to class. Do not use covers.
10.Make a copy of this sheet and attach it to the paper.
