Group Class Presentation (Module 5) and Individual Feedback Assignment
This assignment consists of two parts:
PART 1: A group case analysis presented to the class with a copy for the Professor.
Mod 5 - PART 1 – Group Case Analysis and Presentation in Module 5
1. BEFORE Module 5 Class student groups will prepare a presentation of the Mongolian Grill Case.
2. Review the case titled “The Mongolian Grill” and following the case analysis methodology presented in Week 1:
a. Define the problem faced by the Mongolian Grill.
b. Outline the alternatives considered by the company and brainstorm at least one different alternative.
c. Evaluate the alternatives considered by the company and the new alternative your group has come up with, listing pros and cons for each.
d. Recommend next steps for your company.
You have the first part of class to present.
3. The presentation should be no more than 10 minutes in length, and all group members should participate when presenting.
GRADES WILL BE Allocated according to the RUBIRC
1. Hard copy of presentation to Mr. Butkus at the start.
2. Mention whom your going to present in the presentation
3. Be organised, flow of information, transition of presenters, clarity of message. Be specific.(an accent is OK we all have them, slowing down your speech may help with clarity)
4. You are reporting to the owner, play the role, everyone in the room is the owner.
5. Visual aids for comparisons and data, no eye charts (use visuals)
6. Summarize SWOT hit key points
7. Break even analysis is important
8. Layouts is needed for all the three alternatives (two alternatives which are given and third alternative which your going to be recommended)
9. Advantages and disadvantages for all the three alternatives
10. Calculation’s is required for each alternative and also comparisons.
11. Use methods learnt in your other courses to help solve the problem/s.
12. Be confident in your analysis and recommendations when concluding your presentation.
13. If the layout is the key solution, show the layout and how it will work (visual)
14. Remember the questions you got last time, be sure you consider answering them in your next presentation
15. When answering question, do not get defensive, no one will remember what you said only how you acted.
Mr. Butkus told you his issue, make you answer his question/s.
Time management needs to be exact. (10 minutes )
