Exceptional Organizations Paper Assignment
This assignment requires research into exceptional health care organizations that have been recognized by an authority such as Baldridge, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, Department of Health and Human Services, American Hospital Association, etc. Based on your research identify one (1) health care organization that you would like to examine in the paper. Using the knowledge gained from this course and other research, analyze the application of organizational theories by the organization’s leadership which have enabled them to attain recognition. Make sure to address the following: 1. Introduction/Background –introduce selected organization and why it was selected; explain organizational theories to be applied to the selected organization. 2. Explore employee and stakeholder engagement.
3. Examine organizational redesign and related theories contributing to successfully address any issues identified during research/exploration. 4. Discuss and clearly analyze the role of leadership, inter/intra-personal issues, organizational change, organizational design characteristics which aided in achieving stated objectives. Pay particular attention to impacts on organizational culture, performance gains, employee/stakeholder, etc. as it relates to organizational development at individual, group and/or organizational levels. 5. Examine the impact of talent management strategies on improving organizational behavioral objectives. Be sure to consider recruitment, engagement, retention, education/development, performance incentives, compensation and the organization’s standing in the community. 6. Discuss and clearly analyze the impact of any operational and external factors (such as regulatory environment, legal, ethics, economic, local market forces, etc.) found to influence the ability of the organization to leverage organizational culture/behavior and positively impact all staff motivators/influencers. 7.
