KEY PROGRAMME STRATEGIES ACHEIVEMENTS IN PROGRESS STATUS

To increase youth and community participation in organized and recreational sport across all islands, the Sports

Commission will expand school-based sports programmes, host inter school and community competitions, and

strengthen partnerships with schools and community organizations. Progress will be measured through the

number of schools participating in programmes, the number of community sporting events delivered, and total

participation levels across programmes, with targeted participation growth to be achieved by Q4 of FY2026/27.

In Quarter One, the Commission commenced preparatory work to introduce Rugby and Volleyball into the inter-school competition

cycle, including a meeting with the Rugby national governing body and prior engagement with the Volleyball federation in April 2026.

The Commission introduced new community programs at the Felix Morley Community Center, including an Arts Club and Music

Lessons. The feasibility of additional community programmes across FMCC, North Caicos, and Middle Caicos will be assessed in

Quarter Two

IN PROGRESS

To strengthen national athlete development and improve competitive performance at regional and international

competitions, the Sports Commission will implement structured talent identification programmes, providing targeted financial assistance through the Sports Support Programme and Athletic

Development Fund, and conducting structured athlete education initiatives including workshops, sports seminars, and college

recruitment guidance to improve competitive outcomes at regional and international levels. Progress will be measured through the number of athletes supported under development programmes, participation in regional competitions, and improvements in

athlete performance outcomes, with key programme implementation milestones to be achieved by Q2 of FY2026/27.

In Quarter One, no athlete financial assistance was disbursed, as the Commission is awaiting recommendations from the National

Sport Governing Bodies on which athletes are to be carded for grant support; disbursement is expected to commence in Quarter Two. The

Commission also delivered the National Athlete and Sport Ecosystem Symposium 2026 ("Building Pathways. Strengthening Systems.") on 13 June 2026 at the Gustavus Lightbourne Sports Complex, Providenciales, a one-day national forum led by the

Compliance and Support Department bringing together international speakers, athletes, parents, coaches, federations, and

government around athlete development and a functioning sport ecosystem.

KEY PROGRAMME STRATEGIES ACHEIVEMENTS IN PROGRESS STATUS

To promote healthier lifestyles and increase national participation in physical activity, the Sports

Commission will implement the Let’s Move TCI programme, deliver community fitness initiatives, and

establish partnerships with workplaces and community groups to encourage regular physical activity. Progress will be measured by programme participation levels, the number of community fitness activities delivered, and the number of workplace wellness partnerships established, with programme expansion milestones

targeted for completion by Q4 of FY2026/27.

In Quarter One, the Commission continued to deliver community fitness and recreation programmes through the

Felix Morley Community Centre and other community-based initiatives, in addition to programme cycles already

completed. The Let's Move TCI mobile application reached approximately 90 percent completion. The Commission

commenced discussions with the Ministry of Health, which has expressed strong interest in supporting the Let's Move TCI

national health and fitness campaign. Initial scheduling has taken place this quarter, with a material decision on expanded

collaboration expected in Quarter Two.

IN PROGRESS

To strengthen governance, compliance, and operational capacity of National Sport Governing

Bodies, the Sports Commission will provide governance training, strengthen compliance

monitoring under the Grant Funding and Accountability Framework, and implement

performance reporting systems aligned with the National Sport Strategic Plan. Progress will be

measured through improved compliance scores, the number of training sessions delivered, and the number

of governing bodies meeting governance standards, with key capacity building milestones to be achieved

by Q3 of FY2026/27.

In Quarter One, the Commission progressed governance and compliance capacity-building for National Sport Governing

Bodies. The National Athlete and Sport Ecosystem Symposium (13 June 2026) also provided governance, accountability, and federation-focused content that benefited National Sport Governing Bodies. The Grant Funding and Accountability Framework committee met on 30 May 2026 to assess the

compliance and funding eligibility of National Sport Governing Bodies and to allocate funding based on their assessment scores.

KEY PROGRAMME STRATEGIES ACHEIVEMENTS IN PROGRESS STATUS

To enhance the sustainability, efficiency, and accessibility of sports and recreational facilities across the islands, the Sports

Commission will implement digital facility management systems, strengthen proactive

maintenance programmes, and expand community access to public sporting

facilities. Progress will be measured through improved facility utilization rates and

improved bookings, with full operational improvements targeted by Q4 of FY2026/27.

In Quarter One, the FMX implementation reached approximately 65% completion. Bookings and maintenance-request functions

are configured and in place, and staff training is ongoing. Managed facilities were maintained at approximately 80 percent

functionality. Work-order closure is tracked and reported quarterly. The Commission completed at least one facility safety

review and will continue these on a quarterly basis. Managed facilities recorded an average of approximately 804 daily users,

against the target of 800

IN PROGRESS

and spectators. Progress will be measured through the number of sporting events hosted, international

partnerships established, and visitor participation in sporting events, with key hosting capacity

milestones targeted for achievement by Q4 of FY2026/27.

Collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism on a coordinated sports-tourism hosting and partnership plan is scheduled to
