Module Two Presentation Guidelines and Rubric

Overview

You work as a middle manager for one of the top U.S. producers of luxury and mass-market automobiles and trucks. In response to a

VUCA (vola�le, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous) world, innova�on has become a necessity for most organiza�ons that want to

compete in the marketplace. This includes automobile and truck manufacturers. The organiza�on from the course scenario has

decided to add IoT technology to its vehicles. While the organiza�on is deba�ng whether to u�lize incremental or discon�nuous

innova�on, you have been asked to create a presenta�on analyzing the dimensions of innova�on for your team members. This

presenta�on will help your team members understand the poten�al op�ons for the organiza�on and the possible technological

trajectory (path).

Prompt

Using the informa�on in the overview above and reviewing dimensions of innova�on and the five major technological trajectories

from your textbook, create a presenta�on analyzing innova�ons. It may be helpful to review the CTO Brief, Compara�ve Growth

Data, Compara�ve Opera�ng Sta�s�cs, and Compara�ve Product Plans documents. Your presenta�on should include the following

points:

1. Slide One: Give examples of types of innova�on for your company at the component and system levels.

2. Slide Two: Describe the poten�al incremental innova�ons from the types of innova�on and explain why they are

incremental.

3. Slide Three: Describe the poten�al discon�nuous innova�ons from the types of innova�on and explain why they are

discon�nuous.

4. Slides Four/Five: Explain the poten�al path for your organiza�on by iden�fying one of the five technological trajectories for

your organiza�on along with your jus�fica�on for that choice.

Guidelines for Submission

Using PowerPoint, create a 4–5 slide presenta�on that includes detailed speaker notes highligh�ng the important points you want

to emphasize to your team members and includes references cited in APA format. Consult the Shapiro Library APA Style Guide for

more informa�on on cita�ons.
