IDS 104 Module Five Project Draft Guidelines and Rubric
Overview
In this assignment, you will explore key concepts related to goal setting, reflection, and information literacy. This draft of the project will help support you in completing the rest of your project and will help you apply your knowledge of concepts related to growth mindset.
Directions
You will continue working on the draft you began in Module Three. First, consult the Project Guidelines and Rubric to review the scope of the project. Then, using the same template from the Module Three Project Draft assignment, address the assignment prompts by completing Part Two in the Project Template you have selected.
Note: You only need to choose one template to complete this project. You should continue using the same template you selected in the Module Three Project Draft assignment. You can find the Project Template choices linked in the What to Submit section. You can find the Project Guidelines and Rubric linked in the Supporting Materials section.
Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:
Part Two: Growth Mindset
- Explain how growth mindset shapes how you respond to challenges or barriers. Include the following:
- Explain what growth mindset means.
- Discuss why having a growth mindset might be important when responding to a challenge or barrier.
- Discuss how receiving and providing feedback can help support your growth. Include the following:
- What is the value of constructive feedback?
- How do you use feedback to reach your goals?
- What are strategies that can be used to frame feedback in a growth mindset?
- Describe a reflective strategy to help manage a large change. Include the following:
- Is this strategy meant to support personal, academic, professional, or community transitions?
- How does this strategy support a large change?
- Describe how goal setting can help promote flexibility when situations change.
- Describe a time when you needed to adapt to a new situation and how you adjusted. Include the following:
- What skills or strategies have you learned that you might apply if you were put in that situation again?
What to Submit
Submit either the PowerPoint Project Template or Word Project Template. You must use the same Project Template you submitted in Module Three, and you will use the same template for the final project. For this assignment, you will complete Part Two. No sources are required.
Although Brightspace allows the addition of video notes in assignment submissions, you may not use the Video Note tool to complete this assignment.
